Paulie’s Automotive, Inc., founded by Paul Koland, started as a one man one stall operation in his home garage in 2001. After decades in the automotive industry, including seven years as a servicemen at Iten Chevrolet Minneapolis, as well as a manager of operations for GM field testing for six years. Paul’s various service technician jobs since the age of sixteen, along with a degree in automotive repair from HCTC, combines to give Paul over thirty years of expertise in the automotive field. This, in turn, has led Paulie’s Automotive, Inc. to steadily grown year after year to the business it is today.
Spring of 2012 saw a new addition to the Paulie’s Automotive, Inc. team in the form of a young apprentice, Alex Ballard. He comes to the table with a unique experience array. Automotive experience comes from a childhood interest in anything with a motor ranging from cars to boats to gasoline-powered scooters. Eager to learn from Paul’s experience not only in auto mechanics, but small business management and operation as well, Alex is working towards ASE certification as well as DOT commercial certification.
Recently Paulie’s Automotive, Inc. has evolved once again, with a move to a larger two stall shop, large enough to better manage a greater work load, yet small enough to ensure the utmost quality and personable service that Paulie’s Automotive, Inc. customers value so much. As growth continues, Paul’s vast knowledge of domestic vehicles combines with Alex’s interest in imported vehicles, to produce a well rounded service repertoire. With this, Paulie’s Automotive, Inc. aims to help each customer maintain their vehicles in the most cost effective, professional manner possible.
